Tales of the Earth

Inspired by sacred landscapes, Tales of the Earth has designed and built public and private gardens since 1984, with a special interest in landscapes for meditation and healing for residences, spiritual centres, health-care facilities and urban spaces.

These gardens are grounded in design principles that help strengthen physical, mental and spiritual health in a balanced and harmonious relationship with the natural and social environment.

The name of the firm, Tales of the Earth, is an expression of the narrative and ritual used to create a landscape that reinforces one's spiritual place on the earth through respect for the natural and social systems from which it grows.

The enso is the symbol for Tales of the Earth. It is derived from the sacred circle of Zen Buddhism, a signification that anything is possible -- complete perfection without beginning nor end.
