Preparation with VAST Collaborative Architects of Master Plan for Tibetan Buddhist Monastery sited on 240 acres of evergreen covered hillsides and grass meadow terraces of Mt. Pisgah in Eastern Washington State.

Three-part program for this topographic and geologic landscape transition zone:
1) inventory and environmental analysis of natural features to identify opportunities and constraints to sustainably support buildings, landscape spaces and spiritual paths; 2) interpret program formulated by spiritual guides of Sravasti Abbey; 3) develop organizing concepts for physical expressions reflecting vitality of Buddhist community in 21st century western culture, and grounded in references to historical precedents.
